Journey to China

This blog documents the Spitlers' progress towards the adoption of Xia Ping He (Noah Spitler) from the PR China. It also documents Noah's medical process in pursuit of a total repair to his CHD (congenital heart defect).

Noah's Clothes and Bike

We haven't posted for 11 days - and a lot has happened! We now know our travel details and have "met" online other families (about 17) that are traveling to China during the same time frame. We will meet some of them in Beijing to take in 2 days of touring, then we'll split and go to Nanning alone. We'll meet back up in Guangzhou for 6 days of paperwork at the US Consulate.
For security reasons, please keep our travel plans "amongst friends". We'll leave Statesboro and drive to my brother's house (near Atlanta) on Tuesday. Wednesday (14 Jul), we'll get on United and fly to Chicago, then change to a Boeing 777 for the almost-14 hour flight to Beijing. Hopefully, we'll be able to post daily updates from China - some people said Blogger updates were not possible in China. We'll see.
Here are some pictures Robin took of Noah's closet (thanks for the clothes, everybody!), his refinished chest of drawers (which now all 3 kids used), and, courtesy of Scotty and Michael Spitler (my nephews), his blue Schwinn bike!
