Another One Bites the Dust
Good news!!! Noah's last chest tube was removed...thus, "Another One Bites the Dust". I feel so happy that things are slowly being removed and he is looking more like himself. He has been working hard on coughing out all of the stuff in his lungs. This sounds gross and no big deal but it is much like running a marathon for him. His respiratory therapist and I have been pushing him a lot today so he should sleep very well tonight. The faster he can have clear lungs the better. His chest/incision pain seems to be under control at the moment. He is having a little tummy trouble but overall is doing well. I hope to get him out of the bed before he goes to sleep tonight. Again, getting out of bed and engaging in a lot of movement is key to several aspects of recovery.
I am including a picture of Noah's new chest dressing. It is a cute drawing of a space ship that one of Noah's nurses (Lindsey) did. I loved it so I had to include it in the blog. Thank you for your continued prayers. They are really being felt. Blessings to you all!

Robin,I was glad to hear that Noah's chest tube was removed. He looks good and hopefully he can get up and move around some. I hope he continues to improve and that everything will keep going well for him and you .Take care and tell Noah hello and I love and miss him.
Robin, thank you for these updates. This is a life-line for me as I travel and pray for you, Noah, and his care-givers. After reading your blog entry from last night I was reminded of an old song we used to sing at First Baptist Newnan when the entire service was nothing but singing.... "Count your blessings name them one by one. Count your many blessings see what God has done. Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your many blessing see what God has done." If you know the tune you've just sung it! I'm thankful for Noah's progress and a sister who is patient in waiting for God's blessings. Uncle Scott
So happy to hear this, praise the Lord for keeping the infections back, allowing the chest tube to be removed, and sweet Noah to be on the mend. We continue to pray for heeling and strength. God bless you and your whole family.
