Journey to China

This blog documents the Spitlers' progress towards the adoption of Xia Ping He (Noah Spitler) from the PR China. It also documents Noah's medical process in pursuit of a total repair to his CHD (congenital heart defect).

2 Hours Before "Noah Time"

Hello Everyone!

The excitement is building as we near our 3pm hotel pickup to drive over to the Lottery Hotel and meet Noah!  We are all excited, but Olivia expresses it best, "I just CAN'T WAIT, I just CAN'T WAIT!"

We are very pleased with our Marriott hotel here in Nanning.  For those of you awaiting travel to China, or adopting from Nanning, we would certainly recommend the Marriott.  It is one of the newest and finest hotels I've ever seen.  Because most rooms in China only allow 3 people per lodging, we reserved two rooms and the staff arranged for them to connect - very convenient.  The hotel was built in 2009 - just across the street from Nanning's Convention and Exibition Center (where many nearby countries hold conventions).  At the base of our hotel are many shops, restaurants and even a 3 story Super Wal-Mart.  The girls are anxiously waiting for me to stop typing so we can walk over to Wal-Mart.  We'll buy a few snacks, drinks, and toys for the kids at today's "Gotcha Meeting".

Thanks for following the blog - and before I forget - Robin asked me to remind you that you must click "Newer Posts" in order to see our latest posting.

Here come the pictures from yesterday - airport and initial pictures of Nanning; meeting CiCi (our guide), who also brought our much-awaited "TA - Travel Approval".  A document we'll probably frame.
